Web Page Templates

This is an index to web page templates

     These templates are plain with no backgrounds or images to speak of. Yours don't have to be. We are mainly interested in the organization of the pages. Images, graphics, backgrounds and other enhancements can be added to these pages.

     A picture of the page organization is at the left and a description of the page is on the right. To see what a page like this will look like.

Home Page

Home Page      This is the first page that a person sees when they go to your URL. It's typically fancier than the remainder of the pages. Often a large graphic of the logo is in the upper right. It typically contains links to the categories of things that the page is about. A return link to this page is in all of the other pages.


Menu Page

Menu Page      This is a Menu Page. It is often used as the "Home Page" Allot can be done with this type of page. It's very flexible because it executes under JavaScript program control. It requires JavaScript programming and is more costly to implement than other pages.


Index Page

Index Page      This template is an index page. It's just like the one you are looking at now. It's very useful for catalogs with pictures or just lists of things that have a picture associated with them. They can be used for indexes of indexes. Each item can point to another index so people can find the category of things that they are looking for.


Form Page

Form Page      This template is a form page. It's used for ordering something or communicating something over the web. It can be sent to an automated order processing system, sent by e-mail or FAXed somewhere. The form can contain areas for entry including check boxes just like a form.


Information Page

Information Page      This type of page is used for information. It usually includes the logo at the top. Beneath the logo is the description of the page. Beneath the description are links to the items of information in the page. The links can be a list of text with colored dots or just the text as this one is.
